The 2nd Kyrenia national dog show took place on the 13th of September at Girne American University in Kyrenia. 70 dogs competed in 9 different groups and all breeds of dogs were welcome (there are 343 breeds recognized by the FCI international). Judges came from different countries including the Greek side of Cyprus, to nominate Best of Show.
A spokesman for Kyrenia Canine Club said: “We are new to this, we are still learning. The main aim is that it´s all about hobby, all about fun. We hope we will have our future dog shows together with the Greek side.”
About 300 spectators and competitors attended the show.
