Today I spotted a cafe/shop that looked very interesting. The sign wrote L’Artisan Chocolatier Patisserie. Exciting!
I went in and found the most amazing creations, chocolates of all shapes and pastries that were so fine that you almost thought it was a shame to eat them.
I bought a few varieties with various fillings, dark chocolate with coconut cream, dark chocolate with caramel truffles, dark chocolate with ginger truffles and chocolate balls with champagne truffles also slipped into the box.
I chatted with the proprietor, Mrs Hülya who told me that they made all the chocolates and fillings themselves and that if I had special requirements they would be happy to make them. They also make all of their pastries.
Her son has trained in Europe and has worked with some of the best chocolate producers and he makes all chocolates sold in the shop and served in the cafe. In addition to the goodies and pastries they serve fresh salads and sandwiches.
Then came the big moment came, the tasting! So good, so wonderful! I can honestly say it was among the best chocolates I have ever tasted, rivalling if not better than the Belgian chocolates (which I love) I had when I was at the Hilton hotel in Brussels. I could write countless words about the taste experience for every piece but the best is to experience it yourself.
If you love chocolate, you have to visit L’Artisan and enjoy the goodies available.
This wonderful place is located on the street right behind the Pia Bella hotel (Kurtulus Cad, No 24). Please see map below.
