Creative writing workshop final

Research fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford, and expert on Lawrence Durell, Nicoletta Demetriou will lead the final of the five creative writing English workshops, as part of the Writing Nicosia/Beyond Barriers project, through the streets of the capital’s old town on Friday.

The free-of charge, three-hour workshop, hosted by the Literary Agency Cyprus/Whirling Words and part of the South Nicosia Municipal Art Centre (Nimac) Treasure Island Project, includes landmarks on both sides of the divide and aims to introduce the walled city to creative individuals and provoke them both to reflect on its multicultural, multilingual and multi faith nature as well as transfer their interpretations of its stories and secrets into poems, short stories or any other forms of writing.

For further information on the project and to sign up for the 4p.m workshop, email literaryagencycyprus@gmail.com.

Participants should bring passports or ID cards, comfortable walking shoes and writing materials.
