Music Hall Evening at Tervetuloa Restaurant

You are invited to an evening of musical hall songs at Tervetuloa Restaurant in Alsancak, presented by the Girne Edwardian Music-Hall Society, directed by Francine Ash.

Following the success of last January’s production, many of the audience asked for this to become an annual event. So once again you are assured of an evening of melodic and mellifluous merriment.

Memorable songs like Down at the Old Bull and Bush, Oh Mr. Porter, My Old Man said Follow the Van, Pack up your Troubles, Waiting At the Church, Burlington Bertie and many, many more will be sung on the night.

The event takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 16th, 17th and 18th January 2015. As last time, the evening will commence with plated dinner at the Tervetuloa Hotel and Restaurant, Alsancak (near the Golden Lady Statue) followed by the Music hall songs sung by members of the GEMS but, of course, chiefly yourselves. Song sheets will be provided.

As in the old music hall days, you are invited to dress in period costume, but it is optional. There will be a small prize for the best dressed couple and for the best lady’s hat. The price is 50TL which includes meze, a choice from 6 main courses and fruit.

This is a Charity event kindly sponsored by CreditWest and proceeds will go to the Kibris Turk Diabetes Association.

To book please phone Grahame on 0533 843 3554 or Lynda on 0533 847 8303.
