Build Peace is a community that brings together practitioners, activists and technologists from around the world to share experience and ideas on using technology for peace building and conflict transformation.
The second ‘Build Peace’ conference is taking place in Cyprus on 25-26 April. The first took place last year at the Media Lab in MIT in the US. This year they plan to bring together 250 peace and technology experts from 30 different countries as well as academicians and activists.
The event will take place within the walled city on both sides and is being supported by UNDP-ACT. Programme manager Christopher Louise said Nicosia is a unique conference centre because of its wealth of experience and information. “It will be an opportunity for learning and sharing,” he added.
