Prices in North Cyprus are generally much lower than those in northern Europe. A clear example of this is seen when studying prices of wine and spirits on the store shelves. In North Cyprus a bottle of wine costs on an average between £1,5 and £4 and a bottle of vodka can cost as little as a third of the price of the Swedish Systembolaget.
New Cyprus Magazine has looked at prices of alcohol in three different shops in Kyrenia and compared the average price with the prices that the Systembolaget lists on its website.

Alcohol is sold in all supermarkets and smaller shops. The age limit for buying alcohol in shops in North Cyprus is 18. Several of the smaller liquor stores are open around the clock, and when purchasing several bottles at the same time one usually gets a good discount.
