If you have an IKEA family card – if not, you still have time to get one – then grab your kids on Saturday and head to IKEA for the soft toys drawing competition.
From 11am until 2pm, children up to 12-years-old can go to the store and put down on paper any design they would like to see come to life in a cuddly toy. Their designs will then be collected and entered into the competition.
The best 40 drawings will then be uploaded onto the IKEA Cyprus website and facebook account and the first 20 drawings to receive likes will be sent to IKEA Sweden.
These 20 drawings will then be joined with others from around the world and judged by a panel of children’s product development specialist.
The judges will select ten winning drawings based on the uniqueness and commercial potential and the drawings will become real toys which will be sold in IKEA stores in November 2016.
If you can’t visit IKEA on Saturday, then you can download the application form from www.IKEA.com.cy/family and send the completed form along with your child’s drawing by post by November 20.
For every soft toy sold in IKEA stores for a period of three months, one euro will be donated to UNICEF.
