The Persian cuisine is famous all over the world for its colourful dishes and exotic flavours. Therefore we are really excited and looking forward to January 27th when the event Persian Taste will be held at the restaurant Neyzen in Kyrenia. It is the first big Persian event that has ever taken place in North Cyprus, and the organiser behind it is the international business woman Foroozan Rabooki from Iran. We got to meet Foroozan and she told us about the event.
“I love Persian food and I want more people to get the opportunity to discover it,” she says with a big smile.
“Besides, there are many Iranian people on the island, everything from students to casino players, but the island lacks Persian restaurants so they miss being able to eat their delicious food.”
Foroozan, who, amongst other things, have businesses in Istanbul, is travelling a lot and has previously lived in Dubai. But now she lives in North Cyprus and even though she appreciates the Cyprus cuisine she can long for the tasty Persian food.
“At Persian Taste there will be an open buffet which offers home cooked meat, chicken and vegetarian food. There will also be a big variety of rices and delicious sauces. The chef comes straight from Iran, and some of the ingredients which you cannot find here in Cyprus do as well.”
The buffet will be open between 8pm and 10pm, and the entrance fee is 50TL per person with a drink included. After the dinner Persian and international party music will be played by Milad Eshraghi on the decks, a well known Iranian DJ. The party will go on until 3 am.
Foroozan welcomes everyone, and reservations can be made on phone number: 0533 844 13 16 even though it is alright to just show up. The dress code is formal.
Take the opportunity to experience an amazing night with exotic flavours, see you there!
