Internship week 6

SWOT-analysis of the week

Strengths: It is finally warm outside and you can chill (read: work and drink coffee) outside in T-shirt.

Weaknesses: I miss my friends and family at home.

Opportunities: The Magazine has a new interview booked with an interesting person and I will be the one conducting it. I am very excited.

Threats: I almost finished all my Swedish coffee at home.

When I started writing this article I almost named it ”internship week 5” before I realised that week 5 was last week. It’s crazy that I have worked here for 6 weeks now. But that’s how it is; it’s closer to the end than to the beginning. It makes me a little nostalgic.

You know how my weeks look like right now, it feels like I’m only repeating myself: I have done analyses, written articles and attended meetings. As well as worked some on a future project and tried to write on my report for school; to say that I haven’t worked on it as much as I should is an understatement. Sometimes it feels like I have a thousand things to do and not enough hours during the day.

The positive thing is that it has been really been warm this week, up to 26 degrees Celsius. I have taken advantage of the nice weather by sitting on the roof terrace and sun tan when I had some time over. I feel very privileged when I see pictures of Sweden and snow slush. But I still miss Sweden a little bit; I miss my friends and my family back home. I have been away from them for such a long time now, both this autumn when I studied abroad and now. But we keep in touch through Skype and social media.

The other day when we were on our way home from the office we had to pull over and photograph this:

Solnedgång

I love the sunsets here. Every night I am astonished by how beautiful they are, and I have a feeling that they look different every evening.
