Classical music concerts at the 21st International Bellapais Music Festival continue at the historic abbey tomorrow with a violin and piano recital by Michael Süssman and Mai Goto.
The Norway-based artists promise a programme of Schubert, Debussy, Kreisler, Svendsen and Greig. Wednesday offers a concert by Italian soprano Silvia di Falco, who will be accompanied by pianist Laura Diana Nocchiero in a performance of works by L’Arditi, Puccini, Debussy, Lehar, D’Annibale, da Curtis and Rossini.
A Friday recital from France comes next in the season, showcasing violinist Frederic Pelassy and pianist Jean Bernard Human in a programme of works by Beethoven, Wieniawski, Bartok, Saint-Saens, Masenet, Sarasate and Ravel.
Next Sunday, June 4, Turkish soprano Sayra Sayhan Geçim and Turkish Cypriot pianist Esra Poyrazoğlu offer a selection of works by Puccini, Dvorak, Rachmanninov, Mozart, Chopin, Erdener, Gershwin and Bizet.
The season promises four more concerts next month and closes with a Thursday, June 15 chamber music concert by a Turkish quartet.
