Chinese martial art performers visit Nicosia

Due to perform in Limassol on Wednesday, a group of 20 Shaolin martial arts performers on Tuesday visited Cyprus’ capital Nicosia, delighting passers-by with their unusual attire and skills.

The men are visiting the island as part of a cultural exchange initiative between China and Cyprus and in dedication to the celebrations of the Chinese New Year.

The Rialto Theatre in Limassol will at 7pm on Wednesday host a Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu Show by the 20 performers, organised by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cyprus and the Chinese Friendship Association in Cyprus. Entrance is free.

The ancient Shaolin martial originated more than 1,500 years ago and was developed by the monks of the legendary Shaolin Temple.
