On Boxing Day, December 26, is the time for yet another street party on Mehmet Kucuk sokak within the walls of old Nicosia. The event is called Çıkmaz sokak Partileri (Dead end street party) and the theme is Christmas.
A Christmas choir will sing Christmas songs and the band Soul Suff from Turkey will play soul and rock ‘n roll. DJ Bora will be spinning tunes on the decks before and after the gig. Alper Kucuk has held street parties here since 2013 and nowadays there is an event held every month.
