Eroglu flying to New York North Cyprus

North Cyprus President Dervis Eroglu flew yesterday to New York to meet UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

The meeting will take place at 15:30 after which the Secretary-General will hold a press conference.

A statement from the press office’s presidency says he will convey the Turkish Cypriot views and expectations regarding the Cyprus negotiations. Eroglu will also meet with “Head of the Council on Foreign Relations” Dr Richard Haass.

The president will return to Cyprus on Thursday morning.
