French films launch at Lefkosa’s Arabahmet Cultural Centre on Monday with English subtitled screening of the 2011 comedy drama The Untouchable.
The award-winning and second biggest box office hit in France tells the story of a paragliding aristocrat who hires a carer from the ghetto after he is crippled in an accident.
The season continues with the 8pm Turkish subtitled screenings every evening until Sunday including the comedy Little Nicholas on Tuesday, Tell No-one on Wednesday, Happiness Never Comes Alone on Thursday, Eight Women on Friday, Asterix and Obelix: God Save Brittania on Saturday and closes on Sunday with the film Hunting and Gathering.
The season is organised by Lefkosa Municipality, the Cyprus French Institute and Cquals Language Academy.
