Hotels in North Cyprus, particularly those with casinos, are almost at full capacity over the New Year period, ‘Kibris Postasi’ reports.
The newspaper says that three and four-star hotels are also doing well with charter flights to the island.
Several of the 5-star hotels are putting on New Year’s Eve Gala dinners and parties with soloists and performers from Turkey providing the evening’s entertainment.
Tickets are going for as much as 150TL to 260TL per head not including extras. A guest attending the New Year’s Eve celebrations and who wants to stay in the hotel for the night could pay as much as 450TL person; couples may face a bill of 600-900TL if they opt to stay.
Hotels currently at full capacity are those such as Cratos Premium Hotel, Salamis Bay Conti, Golden Tulip, Colony Hotel and Merit Park Hotel.
