Iskele Balik Restaurant

As a Mediterranean island, Cyprus is a natural paradise for those who love seafood. If you head out along the coast you are guaranteed to encounter a range of charming restaurant gems that attract with their Cypriot hospitality and fresh fish dishes. One of the most popular fish restaurants on the East Coast is called Iskele Balik Restaurant and it’s located in Iskele, not far from the popular Long Beach. The owner Hussein Ahmed comes from Famagusta and has had the restaurant for five years. He was previously resident in the UK and Ireland, for thirty years, but he loves Cyprus and the possibility to every day enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful sea view from the restaurant which is located right on the beach.

Iskele Balik serves seafood, traditional meze and other local food. The fish is always fresh for the day and caught in the area. It has many international guests staying in the Iskele area but also many who stop en route between Famagusta and Karpaz. On Fridays and Saturdays there is entertainment with live music, then it is always crowded in the large venue. Many of those who come are regulars. Hussein says that there is a man who comes here with his family five days a week to eat. He adds that his staff are very friendly and accommodating and loves to give guests the highest quality of service!
