Kyrenia Castle has opened a new Bronze Age workshop
exhibiting Bronze Age and selling high quality replicas.
The workshop is located just inside the fortress gates and exhibit ceramics dated to between 750-475 BC
Items for sale are very realistic replicas of artifacts, depicting animal and containers for oil and wine. Each artifact is individually certified and sales are made under the supervision of the museum department. Each item purchased can easily be taken through customs.
Sevket Piro, who runs the shop, said that the copies have been a major tourist attraction and he hopes that the locals will show a similar interest in the history of the island.
