South Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and his ministers have joined the Movember movement whose aim is to raise awareness about cancer.
Movember — a portmanteau of moustache and November; also known as No-Shave November — is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches and beards during the month of November to raise awareness of various cancers, such as prostate.
Anastasiades and his ministers joined in on Thursday, encouraged by Health Minister George Pamboridis, who posted their photos on his twitter account.
Most sported a fake moustache, apart from Interior Minister Socratis Hasikos, who has had his one for years, and Pamboridis, who it is understood, grew one in support for the movement.
