The 12th Salsa Jam in Cyprus festival promises a sizzling September Latin dance and music week at a new venue with bookings for this year’s event at the Olive Tree Hotel in Çatalköy already open. Lined up for September 21-28, with a change of location from its traditional setting at the Malpas Hotel, the season kicked last month with a Latin party at the Lodge Restaurant and Sports Bar in Çatalköy.
Latin parties will continue at the garden venue once a month until September, following a winter season at the east coast Salamis Bay Hotel. The Lodge will also host the festival welcome party at 10pm on Thursday, September 21 before a lunchtime pool party at the Olive Tree on the Friday and day of workshops and show rehearsals ahead of the opening 11pm show and party which will go on until the early hours.
The festival offers a weekend of non-stop workshops, shows and parties before a Salsa Jam boat party on Monday, September 25 before festival goers head for the Karpaz on the Tuesday for a two-day trip to the Golden Beach.
The show winds up with a 10pm Going Away party at the Olive Tree on Thursday, September 28. Early bird passes are now on offer, priced at 90 euros, until August 21 and bookings may be made by phoning organisers on 0533 868 3611.
