The other day I was over on the south side to get a ride to Ikea. We first had a superb lunch with shrimp sandwich and Daim cake, yummy!
Then did a lap around the store and looked at the range, it was just like any another Ikea store, the only difference was that all the signs were in Greek, which I cannot read, but because the names are all is Swedish I can handle it.
In the food department, there were, as usual, many Swedish specialties and soon the crayfish. But what caught my interest was the pick and mix! There was also my great passion salty liquorice! Now I don’t need to wait for friends’ to come and visit from Sweden, I can, at will, and when the desire becomes too large, go to Ikea and satisfy these sinful lusts.
The following day I went to my Water aerobics training and on the way home, I jumped in to Gloria Jeans to buy caramel cupcakes, which are sinfully good, and what else do I see there? Wasa crisp bread sandwiches! Absolutely incredible, something I have not encountered in my 10 years here, I had to take a picture as proof. Afterwards I found out that they also sell them in Lemar and Cacao in Girne.
Now you know most things are available here and that includes mulled wine for Christmas (Ikea).
