This unique fish restaurant opened its doors to the public July 2017. The creator and owner proprietor with exquisite taste and insight behind this outstanding restaurant and bar Ocean House is Erdem Tuncel. Architecturally designed with flair, the simplicity of the beautifully structured layout having been designed to a high standard by a leading interior architect. Minimalist design in decor and color palette of China blue and white blend to wood and modern brick elements which weave a fresh approach. The seating arrangements to the restaurant exudes a charmingly fresh approach captures a modern marine theme with a culinary ambiance. My initial impression of Ocean House dining experience felt it was to be an exceptional one and I was not disappointed. The attractive terraced restaurant seating took my attention. Upon arriving the white covered seating area of the restaurant gave light and space with huge floor to ceiling windows, dining tables laid in white and China blue linen, floor decking attractively laid in wood and grey ceramics gave the already elegant surroundings a crisp fresh ambiance.
Upon sight of pulling up outside the restaurant there is sight of a warm and welcoming dining arena, there is a long cocktail bar with a quirky designer touch of modern elegance to the rear of the restaurant, with white bar stools and smart bar man eager to please is waiting to welcome you as you walk through the restaurant to the bar. The attractive display of spirits and wines being served by accomplished and attentive bar staff is a pleasure that awaits you. The accompaniment of comfortable background music plays host to an all round wonderful dining ambiance. The restaurant has both Turkish and English speaking staff.
Ocean House Seafood Menu – a work of art!
The signature dish is a Seafood and Shellfish Platter for two and takes a star at this restaurant. This memorable dish is seductively presented and serves twelve prawns with creamy sauce, calamari and calamari heads, fillet fish (grilled), danced mussels on a bed of exquisite tasting saffron jasmine rice accompanied by crispy French fries. We asked for the Wine Menu and selected the house special, a very palatable Angora wine made from variety of sultaniye grape and has a bright greenish yellow color with a smell of intense fresh white and stone fruit aromas. The crispy, rich and well balanced wine with persistent aromas complimented the meal perfectly. Upon seating, a small appetizer of Red Bell peppers and Pepperoni served with 4 dip-sauces prawn crackers and village bread come compliments of the house. Whereby, the wine arrived and was served in an attentive manner asking if we were pleased with our choice – we were! The main meal a divine success followed by a deliciously refreshing apple smoothie cocktails, seasonal fruit plate and great tasting coffee complements a great dining experience.
