NCM interviews Mr Erkut Günen, Director of Pengu Toys
Now a master in the toy industry, this toy entrepreneur began his launch into the toy industry
with stationary and educational toys. His ideology for Pre-School educational toys meant that the Mr Erkut held a strong philosophy for children learning by enjoying their toys.
He tells NCM: “My thinking, originally, was to motivate and build a learning world from ‘tots to teens’. It is not about the financial side, more than to be successful so I may be able to create the theme of how I wish to be able to set up the production line, for the future for tomorrow’s kids. Improved methods and learning techniques in technology have made a difference in the world today, and I love giving my efforts to the minds and imagination of youngsters. This is what drives me,” he says.
He continues: “My feelings are very strong when it comes to the education of young children. Working in the world of children is so rewarding and holds a magical feel knowing I play a part in a child’s life when it comes to ‘learning with joy’. My mission is to aid moms and dads, guardians alike, families and youngsters whose knowledge of that world isn’t good, decide easily at our toy stores, due to my suitably trained staff. Buying gifts for youngsters is a tough task if one is not familiar with it.” He adds with a wry smile, “Finally, I can’t tell you the pleasure of knowing how cool my son thinks it is, having parents with toy stores, I particularly look forward to enjoying his hectic after-school visits with school friends eager to do schoolwork”.
