Plans for a leisure and children’s play area at Kervansaray have been unveiled.
A public meeting on Sunday, attended by Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü, heard that it would be established on 2,350m2 of open space to the east of the car park between the Evkaf owned apartment block and the Merit Park Hotel, and would include a basketball pitch, 250-metre walking path, snack bar and toilets, as well as play equipment for both able-bodied and handicapped children.
The project’s architect Esin Ozgen, said the scheme would be completed in phases and work would start “as soon as possible”.
