As the celebrations continued late into the night at Salamis’s venue it became a memorable night of fun for all!
Yalda and Christmas are both celebrated in a similar fashion, by staying up all night with family and friends eating special foods. Yalda signifies days start lengthening, symbolizing the arrival of winter, the renewal of sun and the victory of light over darkness which coincides with December 21 this year, the longest and darkest night of the year.
