Tango from Denmark is on offer to music lovers this week in the sublime setting of Bellapais Abbey.
The 12th international North Cyprus Music Festival´s third week sees Tango Catz take to the stage on Friday, October 24. The Danish quartet features cellist Anne Vilain, pianist Selma Gade, Marie Warme on accordion and Christa Danielsen on clarinet.
Their concert on Friday offers works by the great tango composers including Astor Piazzola, Villodo, Gobbi, Ruggiero, Solare, Manzi and Castellanos.
The season runs until Friday, November 7 when Gülseren Sadak will perform a closing Chopin piano recital. Two more concerts, scheduled for Thursday, 30 October and Tuesday, November 4, feature Bilkent University Young Virtuosos and the Torcch Woodwind Quartet.
