The 10th Cyprus Salsa Congress

With just over a month to go, now is the time to start polishing your salsa shoes, practising your shimmy and signing up for your place at the island’s biggest – and best – salsa event: the annual Cyprus Salsa Congress. And with tickets selling out rapidly, you definitely need to get your skates (and salsa shoes) on right this minute to catch what has become a massive dance draw for both locals and tourists alike.

March 27 to 30 at the Grecian Park Hotel, Cape Greco, sees the tenth iteration of what began as a relatively small event, exactly a decade ago. And it promises, says Christos Shakallis – one of the Salsa Team hosts – to be the best yet. “The Salsa Congress is like a meeting point,” he explains; “friends coming back year after year to enjoy the festivities; to revel in the energy and intensity of the weekend. There’s always such a great atmosphere and, this year, you can certainly expect the unexpected!”
