Free flights, adventures and chances to dine out are all up for grabs in a Grand Draw to be made at Kyrenia Animal Rescue’s annual Christmas Bazaar.
Tickets are now on sale for the raffle, which will include “surprise” prizes, plus return flight tickets for two to or from Stansted donated by Cyprus Paradise or to any Turkish airport donated by Ankara Travel, Scuba dive trials, tandem paragliding and a variety of restaurant vouchers. The 5TL tickets are available from the KAR office in Karakum, its Girne charity shop or its stall at Lapta’s Saturday Lambousa Market.
Winners will be drawn during the bazaar at Girne’s Teachers’ Hotel on December 5, which organisers hope will top the record 20,664TL profits raised by last year’s festive event.
Attractions will include Christmas decorations and stalls selling goods such as cakes, mince pies and preserves, and mulled wine, plus a tombola and sales of household linens, jewellery, toys and games, plants and pet accessories.
Santa will be there to hand out gifts for children, and people will have a chance to buy “Christmas dinner” for an animal at KAR’s Arapköy rescue centre.
