Unveiling of Denktaș statue will mark 31st anniversary of TRNC

A statue of TRNC founding President Rauf Denktas is set to be unveiled tomorrow as part of the celebrations to mark the 31st anniversary of the republic he led for decades.

The roundabout outside Ercan Airport was chosen as the site for the monument of the former President, who died in January 2012, to be close to the country´s sole air gateway.
