Caving in North Cyprus
On another type of land activity, for caving enthusiast it is an underground wonderland.
It is possible to be part of cave tours and there are several caves that one can explore. There are a number of popular natural caves to visit, one in particular known as the Hot Cave, north of Agirdag village, another natural cave in Kyrenia’s region is Guvercinlik cave near Alevkayasi. The most beautiful is known to be by the name of Incirli Cave with a hundred meter long passage containing a spectacle of stalactites and stalagmites. [This cave is open on Sunday or by pre-arrangement by the village muhtar. There are more caves to be found in the historical region of the City of Famagusta.
