Have you ever had a dream were you felt that you needed assistance to understand its meaning and even called a friend to talk about it or tried to look up what it means? These dreams may be telling us something important and our friends or the internet can’t always help us figure out what that is. There is a man who can help us make sense of these dreams and also figure out how to use them to better manage stress levels and achieve personal goals. He is psychotherapist Dr Byron Gaist, and he will give a lecture and workshop on Working Therapeutically with Your Dreams on December 4th at the American College in Nicosia.
The lecture will begin at 18:15 with registration and at 18:30 Gaist will present a lecture on sleep, dreams and dream work until 19:20. There will be a short break and at 19:30 he will give an experimental workshop on working therapeutically with your dreams until 20:30.
Gaist has worked with children and adults and uses an integrative approach to treat his patients. This mainly concentrates on humanistic and depth psychology and cognitive behaviour. He considers every person unique and views that each of us is the ultimate expert on our own life and thinks of himself as a facilitator who supports and encourages the individual to have inner and outer wellbeing.
If your dreams are effecting you or if you find the unconscious world of dreams fascinating, then register to be a part of the lecture and workshop before Thursday by calling Tel: +357 22661122 or emailing: petros.komodikes@ac.acy.cy.
